Emotion, values, and Malaguismo on an unforgettable night

The Club, through its Foundation, held the 9th edition of the #SiempreFuerte Awards, an event full of tribute, solidarity, and lasting remembrance of Pablo Ráez.

The iconic Cine Albéniz in the city hosted the annual event organised by the Málaga CF Foundation, now in its ninth year, in a gala marked by emotion, social commitment, and a constant tribute to Pablo Ráez’s legacy.

The gala, broadcast by 101TV Málaga, opened with a musical performance by popular Cádiz artist Antoñito Molina, followed by a welcome from the event hosts: Basti, the heart of the Foundation’s Social Department, and journalist Cristina Zumaquero.

There was a strong institutional representation from the Club, led by judicial administrator José María Muñoz, along with general manager Kike Pérez and sporting director Loren Juarros. Numerous members of Málaga CF’s first teams, both men’s and women’s, were also present, including coaches and captains from both squads.

One of the most special moments of the evening was the tribute to the Supercapacitad@s, the ‘Fair Play’ champions of LaLiga Genuine, who serve as an example of perseverance and values both on and off the pitch. The gala also highlighted the support of the companies that made the event possible: San Miguel, Olin, and Cine Albéniz, along with the collaboration of Grupo El Corte Inglés. Recognition was also given to members of the Málaga CF Business Club and to organisations associated with the MCF Foundation, including Fundación Unicaja, Clínicas Rincón Dental, Málaga Ciudad Redonda, Ayuntamiento de Frigiliana, Sanamar, La Canasta, Cuevas de Nerja, COVEI, and Mayorprint.

The emotion reached one of its peaks with the presentation of the ‘Pin de Oro’ to Basti, visibly moved, handed over by the president of the MCF Foundation, José María Muñoz, in recognition of his tireless work and dedication. Another particularly touching moment was the ‘Siempre Fuerte’ Applause dedicated to Victoria Esperanza, a young Malaguista who, like Pablo Ráez, embodies strength in the face of adversity.

The gala continued with a remarkable performance by Granada-born dancer Sara Sánchez, before the list of award winners for 2026 was announced. Artist Mari Roldán was responsible for creating the artwork symbolising this year’s accolades.

Then it was time for the awards. In the Social Entity category, the honours went to the Fundación LaLiga, chaired by former CD Málaga player Clemente Villaverde; the Fundación Héroes; and the Asociación EOEO. The Abdallah Ben Barek Award, recognising values in sport, was presented to Alejandro Navarro, a true example of life and dedication. Finally, the Special ‘Siempre Fuerte’ Award was given to charismatic Málaga actor Antonio de la Torre, a steadfast ambassador of the Blue and White spirit, accompanied on stage by Paco Ráez, Pablo’s father.

The evening concluded with the traditional group photo featuring the award winners, sponsors, and guest artists, all posing with the iconic gesture made famous by Pablo Ráez. The night also featured a second performance by Antoñito Molina, who performed “Me prometon,” the song that earned him the ‘Gaviota de Plata’ at the Festival de Viña del Mar.

It was a night to remember, once again showing that Málaga CF and its Foundation remain committed to social causes, keeping alive, for another year, the spirit of Pablo Ráez and his ‘Siempre Fuerte’ motto. See you next year!
