Málaga Club de Fútbol’s women’s first team today kicked off the 2023/24 season. The sports management, coaching staff and players gathered in the 'Juan Cortés' press room at La Rosaleda before the start of training.

Málaga Club de Fútbol Femenino is back. José María Muñoz, judicial administrator of the Club; Loren Juarros, sporting director of the Entity; and Manolo Navarrete, MCF Femenino adviser, headed up a meeting to present the 2023/2024 season in the 'Juan Cortés' press room at La Rosaleda.

The Malaguista leaders stressed the fact that the club's project is global, taking into account the women's section. Under the same work model, the youth ranks will be essential for the new sports management, made up of Estrella Díaz and Antonio Utrera.

The coaching team will be led by Miguel Aquino as coach. Marina Gallardo will be the second coach; Daniel Jimena, the physical trainer; Carlos Gómez, the goalkeeping coach; Ana Madrid, the physiotherapist; and Dunia Dhimen, the delegate.

As for the players, Ruth Acedo, María Encarnación Carneros 'Encarni', María Farfán, María Arrabal, Andrea Ríos, Yoli Peche, Luisa Olmedo, Estefanía Moreno, Águeda González, Desirée Rodríguez 'Bertuchi', Miriam Córdoba 'Futu' and María Elena Delgado 'Marilén' will continue for another year and have renewed their contracts with the club's women's first team.

Nerea Valeriano, Noelia Correro and Laura Sánchez are the new additions to the Malaguista team. Nerea comes from CDE Racing Féminas after having trained in the youth ranks of Barça Femenino. Noelia arrives from Real Madrid ‘B’ femenino and is a world champion with the Spanish Under-17 National Team. For her part, Laura Sánchez joins the Blue and White team from CD Pozoalbense Femenino.

In addition, a large number of homegrown players completed the group that was present today and will begin training tomorrow at the Federación Malagueña de Fútbol ground.
