A great result to close out the season (2–5)

Málaga CF Femenino defeated Valencia CF ‘B’ on Matchday 30 of Segunda Federación Group 2. The Blue and Whites end the 2024/25 season with a resounding away victory.

Valencia CF’s Ciudad Deportiva was yesterday’s setting for the final matchday of the regular season for Héctor Díaz’s side. He fielded a starting-11 made up of debutant goalkeeper Patri Pérez between the posts, along with Farfán, Yoli Peche, Águeda, Encarni, Noe, Daniela Sáenz, Alicia, Elena, Arantxa, and Andrea Herrero.

In the first half, Málaga CF took the lead just past the quarter-hour mark, through a goal by Andrea Herrero (0–1, 19’). Valencia’s B team equalised just before half-time thanks to a goal from Noa Xiaoyun.

The second half was a display of Málaga’s effectiveness. Elena, a winter signing with a strong scoring touch since her arrival from Albacete, put MCFF back in front (1–2, 56’). Just a few minutes later, Andrea Herrero completed her brace (1–3, 59’).

In the second half, Díaz gradually brought on Futu, Bertuchi, Salvador, Yessenia, and Kruijthof. Futu, known for scoring off the bench, netted the fourth (1–4, 78’). The fifth goal came from a defender, Águeda (1–5, 85’). Near the final whistle, the home side’s Celia scored Valencia B’s second (2–5, 90’).

A convincing victory that brings an end to Málaga CF Femenino’s season, finishing in 6th place with 46 points on the table. A strong finish for a team that will compete once again next year in the third tier of Spanish women’s football.
