Málaga Femenino retains its core for the new season

The Málaga CF women's first team has retained the core of last season's 2025/26 squad as it prepares for a new campaign in the Segunda Federación.

Héctor Díaz will continue to lead the coaching staff for a third consecutive season as the team prepares to compete in the Segunda Federación once again in the 2026/27 campaign.

Last season, the team finished as runners-up in Group 3 of Spain's third tier and went on to compete in the promotion play-offs for the Primera Federación.

A total of 16 players will remain with the squad for another season, continuing to represent the Blue and Whites. Fourteen of them are from Málaga and products of the Club's academy, including captains Encarni and María Farfán, who are role models for their teammates thanks to their deep connection with the Club and extensive experience in its colours.

Goalkeeper María Arrabal; defenders Yoli Peche, Águeda, Carmen Aguilar, Belén, Jeni, and captains Encarni and María Farfán; midfielders Andrea Ríos and Noemi; forwards Arantxa, Futu, Andrea Herrero and Alba Navarro; as well as versatile players Marina and Yessenia, who featured for the reserve team during the 2025/26 campaign, will all remain with MCFF. Together, they form a recognisable squad built on local talent and a strong Malaguista identity.

Best of luck for the season ahead, team!
