The Málaga-born coach will no longer remain contractually linked to the Club, after having served as the assistant coach of the men’s first team during the current 25/26 season.
Juan Alejandro Acejo Rodríguez (Málaga, 24/01/78) joined Málaga CF at the beginning of July 2025 to become part of the first team coaching staff as assistant coach.
After starting out in Málaga’s grassroots football system, in 2016 he moved to the MCF Academy with Cadete A. Following several seasons coaching the Juvenil B team at Málaga and the Juvenil A at San Félix, where he managed homegrown Malaguistas such as Ramón and carried out an outstanding job, he continued his professional career in the Sevilla FC youth ranks.
In 2018, he began his work in Nervión, where he coached Sevilla’s Juvenil A team for three seasons. In 2021, his excellent work earned him a promotion to the reserve team, Sevilla Atlético, which competed in the 1ª RFEF that season. In 2023, he served as Pablo Machín’s assistant coach at Apollon Limassol.
Málaga CF wishes to thank Alejandro Acejo for his commitment and professionalism.
