Málaga CF to visit Oxford in August

The team will face Oxford United on British soil on Saturday 2nd August at 15:00 (Spanish time). The preseason away match will be against a team from England's second division.

On the first weekend of August, Málaga CF will travel to the UK for a preseason friendly in preparation for the upcoming 2025/26 season.

Their opponent will be Oxford United FC, a club competing in the EFL Championship. Oxford finished 17th out of 24 teams last season, securing their place in the second tier of UK football for another year.

Oxford plays its home matches at the Kassam Stadium, a venue with a capacity of around 13,000 spectators. Over its more than 130-year history, the club's greatest achievement came in the 1985/86 season, when it won the English League Cup (now the EFL Cup), just a year after being crowned champions of the former Second Division in 1984/85.

Oxford, renowned for its world-class university and long-standing rowing rivalry with Cambridge in the world-famous Boat Race, will serve as the setting for an international preseason fixture for Málaga CF.
