Pablo Ráez's legacy continues to beat strong

The 8th Siempre Fuerte Awards of the MCF Foundation were held at the Cine Albéniz, commemorating, for the eighth year, the unforgettable figure of a universal Malagueño: Pablo Ráez.

A large institutional and sporting representation of Málaga CF attended one of the most important events of 2025 for the Club’s Foundation. The event was made possible thanks to the essential sponsorship of Cervezas San Miguel, Fundación El Pimpi, and Cine Albéniz—the venue for the gala—as well as the Málaga City Council and Málaga Procultura.

Once again, journalist Cristina Zumaquero and the heart of the MCF Foundation’s Social Area, Sebastián Fernández Reyes ‘Basti,’ hosted the event. Around 7:30pm, the ceremony began with the unmistakable sound of the Malaga-based choir ‘Gospel It,’ which moved the audience with a song dedicated to Pablo Ráez.

One of the most special tributes of the gala was dedicated to Málaga CF’s greatest treasure: the fans. For the first time, the ‘Golden Pin’ was awarded as a recognition to Francisco Martín Aguilar, the Club’s Protocol and Institutional Relations Advisor.

The classic ‘Siempre Fuerte Applause’ was also featured, with an emotional video dedicated to Juan Ramos, a beloved member of Málaga Genuine. Nor was the heartfelt speech by Pablo Ráez’s uncle, ‘Bladi,’ which set the stage for one of the most remarkable moments of the night: Lalone, a Malaga-based graffiti artist considered one of the best in the country, unveiled the awards in a truly unique way, with an impressive mural decorating the CD Fundación MCF.

The ceremony continued by honouring the winning social organisations of the #SiempreFuerte awards: AFESOL, Fundación Hogar Abierto, and Fundación El Pimpi. Of course, it also featured the Abdallah Ben Barek Award, which was presented to Malaga’s own world number one karate champion, María Torres, and the special ‘Siempre Fuerte’ Award, given to one of Málaga and Spain’s basketball icons, Berni Rodríguez.

As always, Basti remembered the ‘invisible’ members of the Club, the employees of the entity in Martiricos. In the closing moments, the music of Gospel It once again resonated with elegance and spirituality, followed by the traditional family photo with the winners, raising their arms with strength to emulate the eternal gesture of Pablo Ráez.

A night full of emotions that is now part of the great history of an awards ceremony that grows in prestige year after year. Pablo, this is for you. Siempre Fuerte!
