Press conference

Einar: “They won’t make it easy for us, but we’ll try to get the three points”

The Malaguista central defender held a press conference this Wednesday about Sunday's league match against Atlético Sanluqueño CF. “Having a healthy dressing room and a good work environment is the basis for everything. We enjoy the highs more and we’ll get through the tough times,” he said.

Good team dynamic

“March has only just started, there’s a long way to go yet. The team dynamic is very positive, we’ve had several solid games and conceded little. There have been significant advances in the game and the atmosphere is good. Maybe people go a little crazy, but we won't let the joy of beating Ibiza take away our focus. The objective remains the same, to go and win in Sanlúcar. They have gone seven games without losing, they are going to make it difficult for us. But with a good dynamic we can face this challenge in a better way.”

Only focused on Atlético Sanluqueño

“We have beaten Recre and Ibiza at home with 25,000 fans, bucking the trend of not beating those at the top. We’ve had two opportunities and haven’t failed. The best is yet to come, we don't want to set limits at the beginning of March either. We need to go step by step and know that the best is yet to come.”

A family on and off the pitch

Having a healthy dressing room and a good work environment is the basis for everything. It confirms that the team is a family, we enjoy the highs more and we’ll get through the tough times. It's a good group, everyone does their bit. It’s a pleasure to see everyone every day. The fact that it is such a good group and there is friendship helps in the game to compete for the one next to us as if he were a brother.”

Tough, healthy competition in defence

“There are five central defenders who are competing every day to earn that position. I am lucky enough to participate and I like to make the most of the moments I have. The people who are outside are looking forward to their moment and reaffirming themselves. Having such a good group helps us improve with each other. I’m enjoying the personal moment and that of the team, but aware that it can change as there are teammates waiting for the opportunity to make it difficult.”

A very difficult rival

“They are a good team and are in good shape. Seven consecutive games without losing, with four victories, being solid in defence with only a goal or two conceded. In the first leg we didn’t manage to win. We have to improve things as this is a game that will demand a lot from us. We won’t be caught out as we’ve been warned about Sanluqueño's moment, but due to the euphoria we have to be more alert than ever. They won’t make it easy for us, but we’ll try to get the three points.”
