Edna to remain with MCF Femenino for another year

The Nigerian-born player will continue with Málaga CF until the end of the 20/21 season. “I only think about Málaga, and if I’m here for many years, all the better”, she said.

The strong, versatile winger born in 2000 in Benin City (Nigeria), Edna Imade arrived at the Club in the 19/20 season following a long spell in the Andalusian capital of Sevilla. Last season she completed her first year in Reto Iberdrola within the Blue and White ranks, and following her contract renewal, had a few words for MCFTV.

Continuity

“I’m very happy, we couldn’t finish last season due to coronavirus, but I’m happy to be back and reunited with my teammates”.

Coach

“The main thing has been the trust shown in me by Nati. She said she has a lot of confidence in me, and that this will be my year. This gives me a real boost, along with my teammates from last season, with whom I have a great relationship, which makes everything more comfortable”.

Individual improvement

“It was a big jump and a pretty big change. I think I’ve improved in various aspects, particularly in terms of tactics. The year I was in Sevilla we didn’t focus on so much analysis or tactics on the pitch. As such, I think I’ve improved a great deal in that sense”.

Future

I only think about Málaga, and if I’m here for many years, all the better. I love it here, the city, the people, the Club, my teammates…I would like to stay here for a long time”.
