Continue working and improving

“The team’s hard work is not converting into points.  We played a complete match last Saturday, and out of two opportunities the rival managed to score and we were left without any points.  We’re an ample squad and the good times are now due, so let’s hope luck is on our side and we continue to improve on areas we’re still making mistakes on.  Everyone on the team is aware we need to continue working hard, with heads held high in order to do our best.”

League break

“It’s a week of hard work, bettering ourselves, improving our fitness levels and continuing to work in the same way.  The internationals will be back next week, so we can prepare fully for our next game, as we want to win as soon as possible in order to move up the table.  I’m focused on those of us who are here, as we can move upwards.  By everyone working together, the players, entire squad and fans, we can push forward.”

Captain’s responsibility

“I have felt responsible since the first day I arrived.  This is what I’m here for, so I must give my all.  Every player should feel the same and give everything they’ve got for this shirt.  We all want to work and perform well, I’m happy with the minutes on the pitch I’ve been having and I want to do all I can to win.  However we’re always faced with a rival, so it’s not easy, but winning two matches on the run is another matter.  That’s football.”

Enjoying being 35

“This season we’re playing some great games, but results aren’t going in our favour.  Therefore we must give everything we’ve got on the pitch in order to earn the three points, which is the most important thing right now.  I’m feeling great, working hard every day and enjoying it as much as if I was 18 again.”
