The Málaga CF Foundation attended the prize giving of the XIII AFENES Olympics held in Caja Blanca, with Fernando Tissone, Francisco Martín Aguilar and Basti present.
Málaga CF, via its Foundation, was present at the XIII AFENES Olympics prize giving ceremony (Association of Families with Schizophrenia in Málaga), which took place today, Tuesday in the Caja Blanca building. First team player, Fernando Tissone was in charge of presenting the trophies to the teams at this regular event. Accompanying the ‘Malaguista’ player were Club adviser, Francisco Martín Aguilar and representative from the Málaga CF Foundation Social Department, Sebastián Fernández Reyes ‘Basti’.
In the presence of AFENES president, Miguel Acosta, and deputy director of the district board, Miguel Ángel Serón; Tissone, Martín Aguilar and Basti gave out the prizes for the various disciplines: athletics, parchís, darts, dominoes, chess, table football, ping-pong, petanque, swimming, beach volleyball, equine therapy, paddle tennis, football, basketball and aerobics.
The end of these Olympics are part of the commemoration of World Mental Health Day, as well as the 25th anniversary of AFENES, which is a non-profit, charitable and social organisation, whose job is to improve the quality of life of people suffering with schizophrenia, as well as their families.
Within the AFENES 25th anniversary celebrations, the 15th AFENES Charity Gala is taking place on 23rd November at the Cervantes Theatre; as well as the Autonomous Paddle Tennis and Indoor Football Tournament, with the slogan ‘Málaga kills the stigma’, held between 2nd and 3rd December at the Carranque sports facilities.
