Málaga CF and Linares Deportivo met this Sunday 31st March on a rainy afternoon on the Costa del Sol. Despite the weather, 14,031 Malaguistas gathered at La Rosaleda to cheer on their team for this Primera Federación matchday 30 fixture.

The MCF starting-11 consisted of: A. Herrero; Puga, Nelson Monte, Einar, Víctor; Juanpe, Manu Molina, Ferreiro, Larrubia, Kevin and Roberto.

The match got off to an intense start with the visitors insistently searching for the local goal. Although the Blue and White defence worked hard to repel the opposing attacks, Linares Deportivo finally managed to take the lead in the 41st minute. Dani Pedrejón surpassed Herrero in a one-on-one after a quick counterattack (0-1).

In the second half, Pellicer made some changes, bringing on Dioni, Dani Sánchez and Ramón for Víctor, Juanpe and Larrubia. The number '6' returned to the pitch after 11 months to great recognition from his fans.

Kevin was very close to an equaliser in the 50th minute. The winger gained possession from a rebound at the edge of the area and tried his luck with a powerful shot that the rival keeper was able to clear.

The Blue and Whites went all out and managed to go level. David Ferreiro served up a precise cross from the right wing that was headed into goal by striker, Roberto (1-1, 73').

The home side made the most of the momentum from the goal to multiply their attacks into the opposing area, but it wasn’t to be. Roberto hit the crossbar with another header in the 93rd minute, preventing the Blue and Whites from claiming the three points against the team from Jaén.
