Dotor: “We leave with the feeling that we’ve dropped two points”

The Madrid-born midfielder held a press conference after the 3-3 draw against Real Valladolid CF. “I’m happy because of my goal, but it would have been better with a victory,” he said.

Víctor’s red card, key moment

“Such a shame, it’s a play that completely shaped the match. I’m not going to judge whether it was a red card or not, it’s the referee’s decision, and it would be pointless to debate it. We had just scored the 3-1, we were very comfortable in the game, we had it under control, and a moment like that condemns you.”

Draw analysis

“We approached the press a bit differently, and it worked well. In the opening minutes we came out with a lot of energy and intensity. You go 2-0 up against a team with good players who are playing for a lot, it’s normal that they create chances. The last 10 minutes of the first half were theirs. In the second half, we came out switched on, we scored that free-kick goal, and with 10 players you can execute whatever the coach sets out. From two set-piece situations, they scored. We’re on the right path to improving, sometimes you can’t control certain situations.”

Feelings

“We leave with the feeling that we’ve dropped two points. With Chupe’s goal and the 3-1, we felt it was impossible for it to slip away from us. If we beat Huesca, we’ll make this draw count.”

First goal with Málaga

“I’m happy because of my goal, but it would have been better with a victory. Now it’s time to work and go for another opportunity to show that we want to keep fighting at the top.”
