Dioni: “I'm always ready to take advantage of any opportunity”

Dioni spoke in the mixed zone at Nuevo Mirandilla. “We knew that scoring a goal would give us a good chance to get back into the game,” he stated.

Assessment of the draw

“In the first half, the game got a bit complicated for us, and they showed great efficiency. After the break, we talked about how to turn things around, keeping our essence of fighting at every moment and giving it our all. We knew that if we managed to score a goal, we would have a good chance to get back into the game. We even had the chance to score a third goal, like the one Castel had. However, considering how the game played out, I think the point is a positive result.”

Fans’ support

“I’m glad to know that the fans are satisfied with our performance. In the end, what they want is for us to give everything on the pitch, and I believe we are doing that. I also want to thank those who came to support us despite the bad weather conditions and the difficulties on the roads. It’s a gesture that we greatly appreciate.”

Complexity of the division

“It’s evident that this division is very complicated. Everything is very balanced, and the small details make the difference; if they aren’t controlled, the opposing team won’t forgive. Today we saw a clear example: they came forward twice and scored two goals. That’s why it’s essential to be at our best and give our all in every match. I’m convinced that we are doing that, but we shouldn’t think beyond that. We’ve only played nine matches, and there’s still a lot ahead of us. We will fight until the end, that’s for sure.”

Excited for the goal

“I am very happy with the goal. In the end, strikers live off goals, and I always have to be ready to take advantage of any opportunity that comes my way. The important thing is that I am here to do my bit for the team. We all want to contribute to the team’s success.”
