Diego González will not undergo surgery tomorrow

The Blue and Whites’ player will not have an operation tomorrow, Tuesday as was originally planned, following an exploratory procedure he underwent in Barcelona today.

Diego, diagnosed with a patellar chondropathy in his left knee, travelled to the Catalán capital, accompanied by the Club’s head of medical services, Juan Carlos Pérez Frías, and traumatologist, Vicente de la Varga.

Following the therapeutic consultation undertaken by doctor Ramón Cugat, who confirmed the injury following examination on the defender, the decision was made to continue conservative treatment over the next two weeks, with the intention of avoiding surgery. However, an operation is not ruled out should the player’s injury not improve as expected.
