Dely Valdés will continue at the helm of the reserve team in Segunda B

The coach will bring continuity to the project for the next two seasons with Atlético Malagueño, after achieving promotion to the bronze category.

Julio César Dely Valdés will remain at the helm of The Academy’s reserve team in this new challenge in Group IV of Second Division B. Atlético Malagueño achieved promotion last month after 11 years, after claiming the top spot of Third Division Group IX and winning the playoff tie against Yeclano Deportivo.

Dely Valdés is a man of the house who two seasons ago coached the Juvenil División de Honor and was assistant coach to the new first team manager, Juan Ramón López Muñiz in the 2009/10 season.

He is Málaga CF’s highest goal-scorer in the First Division with 38 goals in three seasons, and is also an icon in his home country of Panama, where he scored 45 goals in 88 matches as an international, and sat on the bench as national team coach. For this reason, the Blue and Whites’ reserve team coach will head to Russia to watch his country’s next two games in the World Cup. A wonderful ambassador and representation for Panama and Málaga CF at a World Cup.
