Darder: “We still haven’t reached our goals, we need to keep winning matches”
Málaga Club de Fútbol’s Sergi Darder visited BBVA League sponsor, Burger King this morning in Calle Alameda. The Mallorcan-born midfielder later held a press conference.
Firstly, Sergi Darder talks about the event at Burger King, in which he served some hungry customers: “I’m really pleased to have had this experience. When things are going well, other opportunities like this come along; being here is a real pleasure for me.”
The Mallorcan midfielder talks about his evolution as a footballer within the team: “It’s difficult to take it all in, I haven’t really had time to analyse everything. I’m so happy and very grateful to the coach. It’s been a touch change, but I’m getting used to it now.”
Darder, who says he feels comfortable in his position as double pivot, knows the team needs to continue performing as well as in recent matches: “We still haven’t reached our goals, but for now we’re only focused on Athletic and bringing points home. We’ve always had a good attitude, and when our ideas are clear, things work out much better on the pitch. However, we’re not out of the woods yet, even though the last two victories have given us a big boost. It’s important we need to continue along the same lines and keep winning matches. We’re a little bit more relaxed now we’ve gained more points.”
Sergi Darder, who is happy to be playing alongside Camacho, is very grateful to the coach for his chance to play in the Spanish First Division: “I hope Schuster will stay here for his five year contract, along with myself and all my teammates. I’ll always be grateful to him for giving me the chance to play in the First Division.”
