Dani Sánchez: “Scoring a goal is a feeling that can’t be explained”
The left-back, who scored his first goal for Málaga, spoke to the media after the Málaga-Tenerife match. “I’ve suffered and worked hard for this, and I’m hungry for more,” he stated.
Happy
“I'm very happy. The goal was eluding me, but I'm glad we got the three points, for the team and the fans. Now, I’m looking forward to next week to go for another three points. I’m happy, but this moves fast, and on Monday, it's back to work.”
Healthy competition
“Life and football are all about moments. My teammate (Víctor) and I have been doing a great job, both last season and this one. I've suffered a lot and worked hard for this, and I’m hungry for more.”
Euphoria
“I felt so many emotions. Pure euphoria. It’s a feeling that can’t be explained. One of the best nights of my life. I had been chasing this goal for a long time, and I’m especially happy because of how much my teammates, friends, and family celebrated it with me.”
Set piece goal
“It was a play we had been practicing all week with my friend and assistant coach, Manolo Sánchez. We talked about it at half-time, and it ended up coming my way. This goal is the result of everyone’s work, and I especially want to thank Manolo, who is always fully committed to these plays.”
A good moment
“We take it one match at a time. We’re in a good moment, the team is competing in every match, and we’re eager to keep improving to keep earning three points.”
Special night
“Experiencing this with my family is something different. Being from Málaga, from here… I’ll remember the goal and the team’s victory. I hope many more will come.”
