Dani Lorenzo: “We have to stick to our identity”

The Málaga midfielder held a press conference today. “We’ll try to win the match in Granada and continue our good form,” he said.

Granada-Málaga

“It’s going to be a very nice match, a derby with healthy rivalry, the kind of game we all love to play. We’ll try to win that match and continue our good form.”

“Those last two away games didn’t go our way, but we’re very eager to keep fighting, especially after the last victory.”

“It’s going to be a very evenly matched game. Granada have been very strong at home, and we have to stick to our identity. We’re clear about our idea and our way of doing things. By following our playing style, we’ll gradually take control of the match.”

Short-term objectives

“We share what the coach says; we focus on winning each match. Granada is our immediate objective, and after Granada, the next one will come. We’re continuing along the same lines.”

Personal

“This year I’m very happy, because last year I couldn’t enjoy it due to injuries. This season I’ve made up for that, injuries are respecting me, and I’m getting the playing time I needed. That consistency is helping me maintain regularity. I’m in one of my best moments, but I still have room for improvement.”

Loren

“Of course I would like him to stay. He’s been doing a fantastic job since he arrived here, and on a personal level, he always believed in me, so I’m grateful.”

Future

“I’m delighted to be here, the club knows it and makes me feel that I’m important. My goal and my job is to help the team win every week.”

“My dream and objective is to get promoted to the First Division with Málaga. Most of us in the squad share that sense of belonging, in this great group we have, and the idea is to reach the top flight sooner rather than later. We focus on giving our best in every match and taking all three points.”
