Dani Lorenzo: “We’ve had very bad luck, but we have to keep going”

The Malaguista midfielder spoke in the mixed zone at the Estadio SkiFi Castalia. “The team competed really well from start to finish; we’ll keep fighting because we’re showing up,” he stated.

Team spirit

“Frustrated, as you can imagine. The team competed really well from start to finish, we did everything possible to win, and it slipped away in stoppage time with two isolated goals. They came at us, as expected, playing at home in the final minutes. We were holding up well, but it just wasn’t meant to be.”

Looking ahead

“We have to keep pushing because, except for a few matches where we didn’t compete as well, the team is giving its all. Those small details are costing us, but this is football. When things start going against you, there comes a moment when they go in your favour, like the penalty. We have to keep going, there’s no other choice.”

Cruel ending

“The team has had very bad luck. We created many chances and competed really well. We were able to take the ball from them and make them feel uncomfortable here at home. The team felt it, and what happened at the end was just bad luck. We have to lift our heads because next week we have another important match at home. There’s no other option, keep fighting, keep pushing, and go for more.”

Message to the fans

“Thank you very much, as always, you have supported us throughout. Just like us, you’ll be frustrated, which is normal. Keep standing with us, because we’re going to give everything for this badge. Next weekend, we’ll be waiting for you at La Rosaleda, and surely luck will smile on us.”
