D. Larrubia: “We keep learning and are still in the mix with eight points”

Málaga CF’s number 10 spoke at the press conference following the 2-2 draw with Granada CF. “The result frustrates us because we had a very good first 25 minutes,” he commented.

Review of the draw

“It’s a Second Division match, two great teams trying to impose themselves. We knew Granada were struggling, and that 2-0 is one of the most deceptive results in football. Granada seemed done for, but no, they equalised. We keep learning and are still in the mix. We haven’t lost yet, and things are going well.”

In pain

“I have a knock on my leg that makes it hard to walk right now, but it will pass in two days. It frustrates me because we had a very good first 25 minutes, they equalised, and we still have a lot to learn.”

Renewal

“I’m going to stay, and I want to be important in my hometown team, not sure if as a leader, but by feeling important.”

Pending official confirmation

“I’m eager for it to be announced and signed, so I can focus on what matters: playing football and enjoying myself.”

New contributions

“In the first half, I felt comfortable and contributed in other ways, like finding space, which led to the goal. In the second half, I was fouled twice and couldn’t get going because of the knock. The coach decided to substitute me, and everything’s fine.”
