Congratulations, Benítez!

On this day 78 years ago, a Malagueño was born in Alicante. His name, Antonio Fernández Benítez. His life, Málaga. Happy Birthday, míster!

To condense such an extensive career into a few lines, both with CD Málaga as player and coach, and Málaga CF in various stages and roles, is supremely difficult. At the hand of our Club historian, Domingo Muñoz we review the most outstanding achievements of our Blue and White Club adviser, nicknamed ‘the tiger’ in his day (a nickname given to him by the legendary Sebastián Viberti), for his ferocity on the field of play. An interesting statistical journey that highlights the historical dimension of the Malaguista figure that is Benítez.
