Chupe: “I work day by day to arrive at matches in the best possible condition”

The Malaguista brace scorer spoke at a press conference after the draw against Real Valladolid CF. “We now have to focus on SD Huesca, which is the next match,” he said.

Penalty goal

“The coach told me the other day in training, and I felt capable of taking it. We spoke with Larrubia so he could take the ball beforehand.”

3-3 analysis

“We had the match under control until the sending-off. We now have to focus on SD Huesca, which is the next game. There are actions the referee didn’t call in our favour, I don’t want to go into it because of what might happen later. We want to bounce back and think about Huesca.”

Scoring streaks

“It’s not a bad run, the ball sometimes just doesn’t want to go in. When I don’t score, I still do a good job for the team, and that’s what I focus on.”

A point

“It’s better to earn one point than none. We had the match under control until the sending-off, then they went for the game. Better one point than nothing.”

Personal

“I’m very happy with the work I’m contributing to the team. It’s not just about goals, but also about pressing. I work day by day to arrive at matches in the best possible condition.”
