Cervezas San Miguel, Malaguista sponsor until 2026

The beer brand renews its contract as a Blue and White 'premium' sponsor and will also collaborate with the MCF Foundation.

Cervezas San Miguel is inherent to Malaga. The thousands of people who visit the Costa del Sol enjoy their beers on the terraces of establishments throughout the province. The city's hospitality helps you feel at home, although being one of the most globally renowned Spanish brands, they are present in more than 40 countries – no new thing for most tourists.

At more than 130 years old, this giant keeps its Málaga roots in mind at all times and nurtures its traditional relationships. One of them is, without a doubt, the sponsorship with Málaga Club de Fútbol. Many Malaguistas fondly remember the image of San Miguel on La Rosaleda’s scoreboard in historic matches over the last 50 years. A 'photograph' that has been in force in recent years uninterruptedly and will continue thanks to this agreement. In addition, the brand has reinforced its commitment to the MCF Foundation, to which it will dedicate a sum to support several of its solidarity projects.

The signing ceremony that made this new agreement official took place at the San Miguel Beer Factory. Representing Málaga CF were Kike Perez, the Club’s general manager and Paco Martín Aguilar, Institutional Relations and Protocol adviser. They were accompanied by first team players Ramón, Jokin and Einar. Ignacio Bárbulo, Andalucía regional director of MAHOU San Miguel; and Miguel de Hoyos, Marketing Director of MAHOU San Miguel represented Cervezas San Miguel.

Kike Pérez stated that “for the Club this is a historic sponsorship to be able to continue a relationship of so many years. I want to thank San Miguel for its three-year commitment to Málaga. We are proud that a leading brand like San Miguel is supporting the Club. It’s a long-term sponsorship, as has been the relationship between San Miguel and Málaga. Our goal is to continue with them for another 50 years,” said the Malaguista manager.

Meanwhile, Ignacio Bárbulo said he was “super happy” as both entities have “a historical connection that goes back 60 years. When the team was relegated, we thought it was time to be stronger and stick together because you have to be there in the good times and the bad. We can’t wait to do lots of great things together. We have signed for three years, but we hope there will be many more,” he said to the MCFTV cameras.

Thank you for your commitment, Cervezas San Miguel! Thank you for your Malaguismo!
