Striking, fresh, vibrant, energetic… Many adjectives have been used to describe Málaga CF’s new kit.
Its bold orange colour, complemented by Málaga’s signature purple, leaves no one indifferent. But beyond its obvious visual impact, this kit holds much more meaning.
Inspired by one of the oldest and most powerful icons of the Mediterranean, the Phoenician eye, the new jersey represents protection, strength, and wisdom, qualities that guided the ancient seafarers who navigated these coasts thousands of years ago. This symbol lives on today at the prow of our iconic boats: the jábegas of Málaga.
The Phoenician eye becomes the central thread in a design by hummel, subtly yet consistently woven into the fabric as a graphic pattern. It also stands out as an intimate detail on the inside of the collar, symbolising protection, like an amulet carried into every battle, in this case, on the football field.
The visual campaign for the kit was shot using natural light, aboard a traditional jábega boat along the Málaga coast, capturing the spirit of collective effort, deep roots, and connection to both sea and land. Past and present come together with a clear message: this isn’t just a uniform, it’s a true statement of identity.
Available for purchase online from now, and in official MCF stores at La Rosaleda Stadium and Larios 3 beginning tomorrow, Saturday 19th July.
With this third kit, Málaga CF and hummel pay tribute to the club’s history and its people, honouring Málaga’s deepest roots while rowing toward the future without forgetting the past.
