Castellón, kilometre 2

Away win for Málaga CF against CD Castellón on league matchday 2 with a beautiful goal from Ramón.

There were numerous highlights from #CDCastellónMálaga which we take a look at below:

Ramonazo

A place in the starting line-up, superb match and a memorable goal. Ramón Enríquez was living the dream that reached its climax in minute 18 of the first half. The homegrown player gained possession from the rival and slammed the ball into the back of the net with the edge of his right foot. Aesthetically beautiful and worth three points. Nice work, lad.

Good debut for Matos

The left-back from Utrera enjoyed an impressive Malaguista debut. He went from strength to strength, finding his place in defence and maintaining the pace both physically and tactically. For a newcomer, he blended in well with the team. He is player number 378 to wear the MCF jersey in an official match.

Perfection continues in Castellón

Three out of three. Málaga CF has visited Castalia three times in the silver division and claimed three victories. The first was by 0-1 in the 06/07 season, then 2-2 in 07/08, followed by Saturday’s 0-1 win. A special victory for Sergio Pellicer very close to his birthplace, Nules.

Invictus on matchday 2

Málaga, as MCF in the Second Division, boasts a curious, positive statistic on matchday 2 of the competition. In six seasons, on that matchday, the boys obtained five victories and one draw. In other words, undefeated and scoring 16 out of 18 points. Excellent work.

First victory… away from home

Following the debut in Tenerife which ended in defeat (2-0), the second match away from La Rosaleda brought a much-needed win, three points and a mid-table position. The last away win for Málaga CF dates back to 9th February in Cádiz (0-1) on matchday 28 of the 19/20 season in LaLiga SmartBank.
