Carlos López: “It’s a dream to debut at La Rosaleda”
The Malaguista goalkeeper said a few words after the cup victory against CD Eldense at La Rosaleda. “The team competed very well and the fans helped a lot,” he said.
Debut at La Rosaleda
“I can say that it’s a dream come true to debut at La Rosaleda, with the fans and the entire stands cheering us on. It's a dream. I tried to do my job, keep a clean sheet. The team competed very well and the fans helped a lot.”
Good performance by The Academy
“We all competed very well. Ochoa is a great example, he was a Cadete last season and today stepped out and showed personality. He dribbled, provided passes, piled pressure on... The rest of the homegrown players showed the level that he has been giving. We try to compete to be there whenever we’re needed.”
Always ready to play
“It's difficult to be a substitute and then have to keep a clean sheet. I always train as if they were matches, I get angry at times if I haven't played a good match, but I’m happy to be here. Whenever I’m needed I will try to give my all. The team was great and we’ve broken that bad streak at home of not being able to win. Now I'm sure more victories will come.”
A First Division side for the next round
“It doesn’t matter to me as long as a First Division team comes. It's a dream to be able to play against the greatest, against people who play in the Champions League and star players. We will compete.”
