Cameroon knocked out of Africa Cup despite goal by Fabrice
Málaga CF striker, Fabrice Olinga, scored a goal during his debut with Cameroon, though it wasn’t enough for them to avoid elimination from the qualifying stages of the 2013 Africa Cup.
The ‘Malaguista’ was called on to the pitch over 20 minutes into the second half, when the score was 1-1 between Cameroon and Cabo Verde in Yaundé; the ‘indomitable lions’ needed to come back from the 2-0 defeat against Cabo Verdge in the first leg. With Blue and Whites goalkeeper, Kameni, in the starting 11, Fabrice joined the match in the 24th minute of the second half, substituting Idrissou. The ‘Malaguista’ scored in extra time, but it wasn’t enough for Cameroon to avoid elimination from the competition.
