One of Málaga CF’s most memorable visits to the Ramón de Carranza, which ended in victory against Cádiz CF, thanks to a goal from Nabil Baha…after 11 seconds.
It was the 2007/08 season, Second Division matchday 19. On 5th January 2008, the eve of Three Kings, Málaga CF played and won against Cádiz at the Carranza by 0-1. The French-Moroccan striker, Nabil Baha scored the Blue and White goal no sooner had the match got underway.
Following kick-off, Málaga began a direct play action in which Antonio Hidalgo combined with Jesús Gámez sent a long ball to Salva Ballesta, across to Javi Calleja who made a quality assist to Baha. The latter, with a strong left footer, slammed the ball into the back of the net, coincidentally defended by Koke Contreras, current goalkeeping coach of the first team.
11 seconds, the Club’s fastest goal in the silver division and the second fastest in the history of MCF following Darío Silva’s goal in the elite, at La Rosaleda, against Real Valladolid seven seconds into the match.
