Back to school for Kameni and Samuel García

‘Malaguista’ first team players, Kameni and Samuel García visited the Almudena Grandes infant and primary school, with over 600 children taking part in the Children’s Day celebrations organised by Málaga CF and provincial government.

Kameni and Samuel García answered questions from the children, posed for photographs and presented the school with a signed Blue and Whites’ shirt and a team scarf for each class.

The Blue and Whites’ goalkeeper compares the similarities between classmates and a football team: “A class of between 30 and 40 children is like a football team.  You need to respect your fellow pupils and teammates, and a teacher is like a coach.  They need to understand that before they reach a position like ours, there’s a lot of hard work to do and studying is very important.”

This event is part of a series of activities taking place as part of Children’s Day, which got underway with over 4,000 children from all over the province attending a Málaga CF training session earlier this week.  The celebrations will come to an end on Sunday at La Rosaleda when some 3,800 children will be at the stadium for the match against Rayo Vallecano.
