Atlético Malagueño travels to Melilla to guarantee a place in the play-offs

The Blue and Whites’ reserve team is heading to Melilla tomorrow ahead of the match against UD Melilla at 1 p.m., hoping to secure a place in the promotion play-offs, whilst the rival is fighting relegation.

Salva Ballesta has Ernesto back in action for this game having overcome injury, whilst goalkeeper, Sergio Ríos sustained a torn meniscus on Thursday and is undergoing surgery to his left knee next Wednesday.

This is a decisive week for Atlético Malagueño, with three of the four games left this season taking place within eight days.  Tomorrow the boys are up against Melilla B; on Thursday they’re taking on Los Molinos, and next weekend are away to UD San Pedro.  All three rivals are situated at the bottom of the group and fighting relegation.

The ‘Malagueños’ are in third place in the group, three points away from leaders, Linares Deportivo, who this weekend are up against At. Mancha Real, and two points away from Marbella FC, who have a tough match against Vélez CF.

At. Malagueño line-up: Toni, Aaron (goalkeepers), Jurado, Calero, Victor Ruiz, Álex Portillo (defence), Rafa de Vicente, Marrufo, Deco, Ernesto, Joel (midfield), Juanpi, Samu Castillejo, Rufo, Pedro Mérida and Zalea.
