Three goals by Pineda in the first half overturned the opening goal by Fuengirola’s Expósito in the first minute of play. Before half-time there were another two goals, one for each side. Hibrain scored for the visitors and Gordillo for the ‘Malaguistas’.
There were more goals to come in the second half. Fernando and León took the Blue and Whites’ lead to 6-2, whilst Expósito scored for Fuengirola a minute later. With another goal each for both teams, who played at an exceptionally high level, the match ended 7-4 to Málaga.
