Josep Clotet’s team had an impressive first half on the pitch, very focused against the tough Second Division team. As soon as the ‘Malagueños’ found their feet, Vegas scored for Xerez in the first goal of the match in minute 27. Just five minutes later excellent game play from Atlético Malagueño resulted in an equaliser from Cala. However Xerez scored their second goal just before the half time whistle.
The second half was dominated by the Blue and Whites. Clotet’s team showed a much more dynamic style of play, which they converted into goals. Samu scored the second equaliser, and a phenomenal hat trick from Adrián saw Atlético Malagueño victorious by 2-5.
