At. Malagueño looks to continue winning streak in Atarfe

The ‘Malaguista’ reserve team has a tough match this weekend against Atarfe Industrial in Granada, kicking off on Sunday at 7 p.m.

Atlético Malagueño is looking to maintain a confident style of play to continue this season’s winning streak and come home with the fourth consecutive victory at a difficult ground.  Samu Castillejo is injured (sprained ankle), Rafa is suffering with a back muscle contracture and Pedro Mérida sustained a micro-tear in his right adductor muscle.  Marrufo is also unavailable to coach Ballesta as he received a one-match ban following two yellow cards in the match against Antequera, and Sofian Chakla is joining Morocco’s under-21’s today to take part in the Islamic Games.

Atarfe Industrial were defeated for the first time this season in last week’s match to Español del Alquián.  The Granada-based team’s coach, Germán Crespo, won’t be in the dugout tomorrow as he was sent off from the last match for protesting to the referee.  Miguel Ortega will be heading the team for this game.  With regards to injuries, Del Barco is out of the line-up, as well as Samu Corral who has had a few injury problems over the past few weeks, although the striker did take part in the last match.

Only three teams remain undefeated in this division following the first three games of the season: Atlético Malagueño, Marbella FC and Linares Deportivo, with the latter two facing each other this weekend.

The Atlético Malagueño team line-up: Toni, Sergio (goalkeepers); Cristian, Iván Márquez, Jurado, Mosquera, Víctor Ruiz, Álex Portillo (defenders), Pablo, Ernesto, Juanjo, Vela  (midfielders), Juanpi, Rufo, Mauri and Joseito (forwards).
