Andrea Romero (Granada, 13/02/1995) is the first signing to Málaga CF’s women’s team for the upcoming 2020/21 campaign. With 255 matches under her belt, the goalkeeper comes to the Costa del Sol from Granada CF Femenino, second in Liga Reto Iberdrola Grupo Sur in the 2019/20 season.
Football career
Romero started playing football at six years old within a male team in Granada, UDE Chana. In the 2006/07 season, she signed to the Granada CF Femenino reserve team, making her debut two years later with the Red and Whites’ first team.
During her 13 seasons with Granada, the goalkeeper competed in the First Division in the 2013/14 campaign.
Captain of the Granada squad, she played 255 games wearing the jersey.
International career and Andalusian team
Andrea Romero was a Spanish champion with the Andalusian squad in 2012/13. She has played in all Andalusian categories and has been an international with Spain in the U-15, U-17 and U-19 squads.
