Andrea and Cristina with Andalucía’s under-18s reach final stage of Spanish Championships
Atlético Málaga’s Andrea Ríos and Cristina Postigo represented Andalucía in the second stage of the Spanish Championships over the weekend. The team qualified to the semi-finals after a 1-0 win over Galicia, and 2-0 to Aragón.
Andalucia’s under-18s, headed up by Pedro Muro arrive undefeated to the next stage of the competition, to which Madrid and Cataluña have also qualified. The fourth autonomous region is yet to be decided, as the second phase between Asturias, La Rioja and Navarra was postponed due to bad weather.
The Andalucían under-16s’ side, including ‘Malaguistas’ María Farfán and Miriam Córdoba ‘Futu’, lost 0-1 to Galicia and defeated Aragón by 2-1, therefore didn’t make it through to the semi-finals of the national championships.
