Málaga CF had a fantastic run in LaLiga Promises. On Friday the team won the group top spot after a draw with Sevilla FC, and defeating Villarreal CD (hosts), Getafe CF and Deportivo Alavés.
The following day the Malaguistas faced Real Sociedad in the last 16 match. The game ended in a goalless draw, which the Malaguistas went on to win on penalties.
In the next round Málaga were defeated by Real Madrid by four goals to nil. Despite the big win, the young Blue and Whites’ players showed restraint on the pitch, as well as good passing and possession work throughout the entire tournament.
