The Blue and Whites kicked off the morning at Pamesa Cerámica Sports City in Villarreal with a draw against Sevilla FC (1-1). There was an array of victories in the afternoon, against host team, Villarreal CF (0-1), Getafe CF (3-1) and Deportivo Alavés (2-1).
As such, Málaga CF, having played great football and with a solid collective display, won first place in the group in the initial phase of the LaLiga Promises tournament. The rival in the last 16 will be Real Sociedad from San Sebastián, kicking off tomorrow, Saturday from 11 a.m.
