LaLiga and RFEF have officially announced seven LaLiga 1|2|3 matches have been postponed, including Málaga CF’s match at the Carlos Belmonte, following the death of Extremadura UD player, José Antonio Reyes.

Both federation committees have confirmed the following seven Second Division matches scheduled for Sunday, at 20:00, will now be taking place on Tuesday 4th June at 21:00:

  • Albacete BP – MÁLAGA CF
  • Cádiz CF – Extremadura UD
  • CD Lugo – CD Tenerife
  • Elche CF – RC Deportivo
  • RCD Mallorca – Granada CF
  • Real Oviedo – CF Rayo Majadahonda
  • Real Zaragoza – CD Numancia

On league matchday 41, Reyes’ team, Extremadura UD is facing one of Málaga CF’s rivals in the promotion battle to LaLiga Santander, Cádiz CF, therefore the schedule has altered.

Malaguistas away from home

  • The 150 Blue and White season ticket holders who have acquired tickets for Málaga’s match in Albacete, and who still wish to watch the match, can do so with the same ticket they already have.
  • Malaguista season ticket holders who can no longer travel to Castilla-La Mancha due to the change in kick-off time, can obtain a refund from La Rosaleda’s ticket offices from Monday 3rd June (from 10:00).

Plan of work

The change in kick-off time for the match at the Carlos Belmonte has altered Málaga CF’s planning, with the team due to travel today to Murcia. The team will have a day of rest tomorrow, Sunday. On Monday 3rd, a morning training session is scheduled at the Ciudad de Málaga stadium (10:00), and travel is planned for that evening, the day before the match against Albacete Balompié.
