Adrián: “We’ve seen a good Málaga”

The Blue and Whites’ midfielder paved the way to the final of the Carranza Cup in the last minute against Villarreal CF: “This has to serve to give us all a push forward to see that we’re a good team”.

A good Málaga

“We’re thrilled with the win. It was a struggle, with the goal not coming until the end of the game, but I think the team did well. We’ve seen a good Málaga and perhaps we deserved to score an earlier goal”.

Good sensations

“The sensations are extremely positive. We’ve been working hard during the pre-season, and we knew that sooner or later the results would come. I think this has to serve to give us all a push to see that we’re a good team. We can do good things”.

A push forward

“Beyond victory, I think what we’ve seen on the pitch is important. We’ve shown improvement, are performing better all the time, and are now finally starting to see all the hard work we’ve been focusing on. This will spur us on and reinforce the fact we’re a strong squad, and prepared for the start of LaLiga

Rival in the final – UD Las Palmas

“They are a quality side, as we saw last year; a team that works very well with the ball. We’ll need to be a very compact team and try to replicate what we did today. I think we did pretty well”.

Clean sheet

“If there was one thing the team was good at, it was on the defensive line. We’ve got some great defenders. The team was compact and defended well. The rival did us some damage when we committed certain faults, but we’re very pleased we maintained a clean sheet, which is always important”.
