Next match

“The week’s going well, we’ve got a heavy workload as we are preparing for an important match, as they all are. We’re facing a rival that, for now, is at the top of the table alongside us. We know we’re going to a difficult ground and they have a very good squad, but we’ll play to our strengths and I’m sure we’ll find something positive”.

Room for improvement

“We have to keep improving, this doesn’t stop, the end comes after matchday 42. The team is clear that we have to better certain aspects of play, to be a more complete team and find a level of consistency to keep us at the top throughout the season. We’re growing as a group and this weekend we’ll have a good opportunity to keep taking steps forward”.

Good dynamic

“Positive results reinforce the work we’re doing, and us physically as players. You can see that the path the coach marked out during the preseason is working. These factors help, but we must remain cautious. We’ve only played five games. I understand that the fans are happy, and we’ll try to ensure that’s the case all year, but we’re ready for when the difficult times arrive”.

UD Las Palmas

“I think it’s going to be a highly contested game. We’re not going to change the script or the way we do things as we’re doing well. (Las Palmas) They’ve shown they could be in top table positions all season. They’ve got high quality players, who could be in the ‘top 5’ of the category, such as Rubén Castro, who as a striker makes a lot of difference. This is a match that fans will have circled on the calendar, between two teams who everyone expects to be at the top of the standings throughout”.
