Major home wins for Atlético Malagueño and Juvenil División de Honor marked a weekend with a league runner-up title for the MCF femenino reserve team.

Atlético Malagueño

The reserve team continue to accumulate victories and this weekend they defeated Antequera at the ‘Federación Malagueña’ ground. Ruano’s boys weren’t fazed by welcoming the second-placed team, with high-level players such as Juan Jesús Calatayud and Juanillo Galdeano. True to their average of three goals per game, the Malaguistas won (3-0) thanks to goals from Wojcik (24^th this season), Kuki Zalazar and Mula, from the penalty spot. 25 victories in 33 matches, and 98 goals in favour, with a +14-point advantage above Almería B, with 15 points left in play. Spectacular.

Málaga CF femenino

Raúl Iznata’s girls suffered a defeat at the hands of Sevilla FC in the away derby. A solitary local goal by Jeny (1-0, 70’) impeded a positive result, and therefore the girls move away from the league runner-up place that today was clinched by the ‘B’ femenino team after a goalless draw with El Palo.

Juvenil A

A sensational win for Dely Valdés’ boys against San Juan, in the penultimate league game. Two players scored four goals each, Joel and Escardó, to seal a superb 8-1 victory. Málaga, having now qualified to defend their crown as champions of Spain, arrive at the last match as leaders, tied with Sevilla on 75 points. The rival is Betis (3^rd place, 71 points) at the ‘Heliopolitano’ ground.
