Malagueño and Femenino both secured victories allowing them to lead their respective league championships. It was also a full house of victories for the 7-a-side teams, making up an extraordinary weekend.
A clear win against Martos at the Federación by 5-1. A double from Abeledo; plus another from striker, Nané; a spectacular goal by Manu Alemán; and a final one from Iván Rodríguez, following a corner, exemplified the Blue and Whites’ superiority against the rival. Sutil from the penalty spot, scored the honorary goal for the Jaén-based team. Ruano’s boys lead the table with 39 points after 17 games.
Victory and the group top spot for Antonio Contreras’ girls from their visit to Cáceres (0-2). Adriana Martín scored the two goals for the Blue and Whites (22’ and 28’) in the first half. The striker has scored 15 goals so far in the competition. Málaga, making the most of Granada’s stumble, are in first place in the rankings with 25 points from 10 matches.
