There was such a wonderful moment at the Museo Picasso Málaga last Thursday. The room shook with emotion when Dr. Mora and Papito García stepped on to the stage to rapturous applause. A recognition that extends throughout society to all the health workers and COVID-19 patients. Visibly emotional. Papito thanked the medics for their care, stating “they become your family” at such a delicate time.
The relationship between the two professionals is an example of what we experience in our hospitals. Dr. Mora is a highly appreciated professional by his patients, and his dedication and affection stand out. A commitment that helps people emotionally to fight the disease, providing an energy boost to those affected. Papito spent two months in ICU and three in hospital, and Dr. Mora's energy was, undoubtedly, a key factor in his recovery. Even though he valued his life beforehand, he said that “the little things are valued much more.” Papito is a true example of staying #SiempreFuerte.
