A new season of Blue and White Values gets underway

The Club’s campaign, through the MCF Foundation, is now in its eighth season, and kicked-off with CPR Almazara’s visit to La Rosaleda Stadium.

It was a special day for the boys and girls at CPR Almazara, in the municipalities of Jubrique and Genalguacil, which were badly affected by the fires over summer.

These schoolchildren featured in the first edition of Blue and White Values this 21/22 season, with La Rosaleda as the ideal venue to enjoy such a special day. The pupils watched Málaga CF in training and visited the Museum&Tour, followed by a trip to the ‘Juan Cortés’ press room.

With the MCF Foundation’s Basti as master of ceremonies, the talk about Blue and White Values got underway, which the Club promotes in schools in Málaga and throughout the province. “It’s an honour for us that you’re here,” said MCF Foundation coordinator, Lucas Rodríguez to the students.

Also present was José María Muñoz, Málaga CF’s judicial administrator; Manolo Gaspar, sporting director; and Málaga CF coaches (José Alberto López), Málaga CF Femenino (Ayala) and Málaga Genuine (Fernando González). Manolo focused on the importance of educational values, affirming that “a player without these values will have a short journey in the football world.” José Alberto, meanwhile, and from his point of view as a teacher, recommended “knowing how to listen and put into practice” the tips and advice to allow the children “to be good footballers and, above all, good people.”

For another year, the Fundación “la Caixa” is part of the Blue and White Values project. Paco Ramos, director of the CaixaBank Business Department in Malaga, highlighted that “Málaga is more than a football team and supports values which we firmly believe in.”

Then it was time for the most anticipated moment for the students, as they got to ask their questions to three players from MCF, MCFF and Málaga Genuine. Alberto Escassi, Clo and Antonio responded to the delight of the young ‘journalists’ from the Málaga school.

To end the day, a group photo was taken on the pitch at La Rosaleda as well as the presentation of the traditional commemorative poster to the school, opening the eighth season of Blue and White Values. Thank you for your visit, CPR Almazara!
