As is the tradition each season, Bernardi and Coco received their season tickets in a simple ceremony at La Rosaleda organised by the Málaga Club de Fútbol Foundation. Lucas Rodríguez and Basti served as masters of ceremonies, accompanied by adviser, Abdullah Ben Barek and Raúl Iznata, president of Málaga CF Forever and assistant coach of Atlético Malagueño.
This year, at last without masks, both Bernardi and Coco couldn’t hide their happiness at receiving this annual gesture by the Club for these two living legends. Both share the fact they are the only living survivors of the plane crash suffered by the CD Málaga expedition, in Tenerife, on 29th September 1956.
It was in 1981, the 25th anniversary of the aforementioned accident, when this tradition was established by the club. Gonzalo Borredá, another survivor of the accident, completed the list of lifelong season ticket holders, until he passed away in 2020.
We look forward to again presenting the CD Málaga legends Don Bernardo Narváez González and Don Diego Rodríguez Sánchez with their season tickets next year.
