5.500 thank you’s!

The Solidarity Match brought together more than 5,000 people at La Rosaleda from social entities and groups throughout the province, to watch the final match of 2021 against CD Leganés.

The Club, via its Foundation, accomplished its objective of promoting Malaguismo using solidarity as a vehicle to help those most in need.

This special match, under the ‘Tú Puedes’ (‘You Can’) slogan, is now in its sixth year. In terms of numbers, 5,500 people from 74 social groups in Málaga watched #MálagaLeganés and 14 of them being soup kitchens, collected more than 5,000 kilos of food to be distributed to the most vulnerable.

Alan Flores, president of CD AMDDA, a cerebral palsy team that competes at the national level, said to MCFTV that “we’re thrilled to have received this invitation from the Foundation to be able to enjoy watching our team in action.” Rafael Palomeque, from the Asociación Nena Paine is grateful to Málaga CF for “their help at this time and providing free tickets for families unable to afford them.” In addition, David Fernández and Nuria Díaz, a married couple with seven children who receive the help of Asociación Arrabal – AID, are happy and “very grateful, as this is a moment we’ll remember forever, being together and enjoying our team, which is Málaga.”

Málaga CF is pleased the Solidarity Match is back, particularly considering the current pandemic situation. One of the flagships of the MCF Foundation has returned with the same excitement and even more enthusiasm to help those most in need.
