Our MCF Alevín team came second in the IV Promesas Andaluzas 2018 Tournament, organised by 101 TV. Together with the Blue and Whites, other big clubs competing were Granada CF, Real Betis Balompié, RC Recreativo de Huelva, Cádiz CF, Córdoba CF, Real Jaén CF, Sevilla FC, UD Almería, Club Atlético de Madrid and host team, CD 26 de Febrero.
In the group stage, our team competed against Betis and Puerto Malagueño, qualifying thanks to two narrow victories (1-0). In the quarter-finals, Málaga CF repeated the result against Granada CF to reach the semi-finals. There Sevilla FC awaited. Following a brilliant match, the Blue and Whites qualified to the final by beating Sevilla by 2-1.
On the other side, the only non-Andalusian team in the tournament was Club Atlético de Madrid. The match was very even and had to be decided on penalties. The ‘Colchonero’ side came out on top with a 4-5 win in the shoot-out. Congratulations to our Alevínes for their superb performance in this tournament!
