Youth game (3rd Andaluza Benjamín)

The oldest of the Benjamines of MCF’s La Academia will this weekend play the ‘Final Four’ in the Copa de Andalucía.

The players in the 3rd Andaluza Benjamín in Málaga CF youth categories were born in 2006. This team won its first regular league and has taken part in various important tournaments at both a national and international level (Iscur Cup, Europoussins, etc) in which they took on, with very good results, squads such as FC Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund.

Those from the 4th Andaluza Benjamín, where there are two teams, meet in just one group to compete the current campaign. This weekend closes with the most important tournament of the year, the ‘Fase Final de la Copa de Andalucía’, where they’ve got to after beating Granada’s We FC.

MCTV attended a training session in the build up to this event and spoke to Chrsitian Galiana, the trainer, who commented that he tries “to prepare them for this type of tournament in exactly the same way he does throughout the rest of the year. We’re going with all the excitement in the world but thinking all the time of the objective, which is in the training and now completed.”

He knows how to prepare our 3rd Andaluza Benjamín for their important date with history, as they have already clinched the title, and they would be the first of MCF’s La Academia to achieve this category.
