Rincón de la Victoria responded to the call of 'Malaguistas to the Core’, demonstrating its support for the Blue and Whites in the match against AD Mérida at the La Rosaleda stadium, in a tradition that continues for another season.
Just 17 kilometres away, Rincón de la Victoria shares the passion for football that we see at La Rosaleda. The enthusiasm and anticipation of enjoying an exciting Sunday home game, surrounded by the vibrant energy of 16,209 Malaguistas, is incomparable. It’s a long-awaited moment, a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the intensity of this sport while Málaga CF hosted AD Mérida during the fourth edition of 'Malaguistas to the Core' featuring Rincón de la Victoria.
The Malagueño municipality became a bastion of encouragement for the team from the Curva Alta Norte, which welcomed numerous Rinconero children belonging to various schools and local sports clubs.
In the run-up to kick-off and also during half-time, a promotional spot for Rincón de la Victoria was projected on La Rosaleda’s video scoreboards, accompanied by a mention on the speaker. Both highlighted the wonders of this treasure of golden beaches, beautiful art and authentic flavours. The Cueva del Tesoro and the Paseo Marítimo, among others, fill this destination with magic and life.
The official representation of the town was headed by its mayor José Francisco Salado Escaño and Antonio José Martín Moreno, Councillor for Sports, who attended the match from the box, accompanied by other prominent personalities who are usually present at La Rosaleda.
The little ones from Rincón de la Victoria also had a leading role within the Escort Kids initiative during #MálagaMérida. The Málaga CF players were accompanied to the field by the boys and girls from the municipality.
Rincón de la Victoria became the fourth 'Malaguista to the Core' in the 2023/2024 season, a campaign that reflects the close connection between Málaga CF and the Diputación Provincial de Málaga, the Club's main sponsor. This initiative continues its mission of strengthening the roots of Malaguista sentiment throughout the province, spreading the passion for football beyond the borders of the stadium.
